Vietnamese Cajuput ential – High Quality from Reputable Origins
Cajuput essential oil is a product extracted from the leaves and branches of the tea tree through steam distillation, retaining its distinctive strong aroma and powerful antibacterial properties while being convenient for storage and use.
Origins of Vietnamese Tea Tree
Vietnamese cajuput essential oil is extracted from the Melaleuca leucadendra tree with high essential oil content thanks to the humid tropical climate:
- Mekong Delta (Can Tho, Dong Thap, An Giang): The largest growing area, high yield, suitable for industrial production.
- Central region (Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam): Natural tea trees with excellent quality and rich aroma.
- Southern region (Binh Duong, Dong Nai): Newly developed planting areas with improved varieties.
Production Process
- Harvesting fresh leaves and branches from 5-6 year old tea trees.
- Cleaning and slight wilting to increase extraction efficiency.
- Steam distillation at 100°C for 2-4 hours.
- Condensation and separation of oil from water (oil floats on top).
- Fine filtering and immediate packaging to maintain quality.
Packaging
- Standard: Dark glass bottles 5-100ml or aluminum/HDPE drums 5-25kg (suitable for bulk export).
- Customized: Small branded bottles, cartons, vacuum bags – tailored to customer requirements.
Uses & Applications
- Food: Seasoning for dishes, herbal teas.
- Pharmaceuticals & functional foods: Strong antibacterial, treats acne, skin fungus, supports respiratory health, reduces inflammation.
- Especially for maternal and child health: Steam inhalation to relieve nasal congestion, cough, and colds in young children; abdominal massage to reduce bloating and colic; added to bath water for better sleep and skin protection; safe and gentle when used in proper dosage.
- Cosmetics: Ingredient in skincare creams, shampoos, antibacterial soaps.
- Cleaning: Added to floor cleaners, deodorizing sprays.
