DIAMOND-CUT FRESH XIEM COCONUT (PEELED YOUNG COCONUT)
1. Fruit Quality
- Selected from fresh Ben Tre Xiêm coconuts with green husk, clear and naturally sweet water.
- Expertly diamond-cut peeled: completely clean, no green husk remaining, smooth white surface.
2. Packing & Preservation
- Temperature: Maintain 2°C to 5°C
- Ventilation: Ensure good airflow (minimum 10 air changes/hour)
- Humidity: 85 – 90% to keep the coconut fresh and prevent drying
- Transportation: Must use reefer container (chilled container)
- Restrictions: – Never store at room temperature or expose to direct sunlight (causes rapid water loss and quality decline) – Avoid sudden temperature changes
3. Sizes & Packing
- Small size: 12 fruits/carton – Net weight per carton: 7–9 kg – Weight per fruit: 900 – 1,200 g
- Large size: 9 fruits/carton – Net weight per carton: 7–9 kg – Weight per fruit: 700 – 900 g
4. Additional Notes
- Without proper cold storage, diamond-cut coconuts will spoil within about 7 days.
- With correct refrigeration (2–5°C), shelf life can extend to 2–3 weeks, up to 60 days in professional cold storage.
- After opening, remaining coconut flesh should be covered tightly, stored in the refrigerator, and consumed within 24 hours to maintain best flavor and quality.
