Vietnamese Rice – Premium Quality for Global Export

Origin

Vietnam is one of the world’s top rice exporters (consistently ranked in the top 3-5 globally), famous for high-quality fragrant and specialty rice. Vietnam produces both long-grain white rice and premium aromatic varieties. Key production regions include:

  • Mekong Delta (Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long): Largest rice bowl of Vietnam (An Giang, Đồng Tháp, Kiên Giang, Cần Thơ, Sóc Trăng, Cà Mau) – accounts for over 50% of national output.
  • Red River Delta (Northern): High-quality sticky and ordinary rice.
  • Central Highlands & Central Coast: Specialty fragrant rice (ST25, ST24, Jasmine).

Vietnam’s ST25 rice was awarded World’s Best Rice in 2019 and remains a flagship product.
