Production:

  • Process: Washing → peeling → wet grinding → pulp separation → sedimentation → protein removal → refining → drying → packaging in modern factories meeting international standards.

Uses (Culinary & Medicinal):

  • Culinary: Thickener for sauces, cream soups, bread, confectionery, noodles; provides crispiness for potato chips and pie crusts.
  • Medicinal: Excipient in pharmaceutical tablets (binder, disintegrant); provides energy for gluten-free diet patients.

Applications in Other Industries:

  • Food Processing Industry: Thickener, stabilizer, high water retention in sausages, cured meats, biscuits, ice cream, yogurt; gelatin substitute in vegetarian products.
