Specifications:

  • Types: Sour tapioca starch (acid modified), modified starch, native tapioca starch; pure white color, fine powder, no lumps.

Production:

  • Raw material from cassava grown mainly in Central Highlands (Gia Lai, Đắk Lắk, Kon Tum, Đắk Nông), Southeast region (Tây Ninh, Bình Phước), and Mekong Delta.
  • Process: Peeling → wet grinding → pulp separation → sedimentation → protein removal → drying → packaging in modern factories meeting international standards.

Uses (Culinary & Medicinal):

  • Culinary: Thickener for sauces, soups, confectionery, instant noodles, rice paper, desserts; used for batter mix, crispy frying powder.
  • Medicinal: Used as excipient in pharmaceutical tablets; provides quick energy for patients (in glucose form from cassava starch).

Applications in Other Industries:

  • Food Processing Industry: Thickener, stabilizer, binder in noodles, biscuits, ice cream, yogurt, beverages; production of glucose syrup, fructose, sorbitol, MSG.
  • Textile & Paper: Sizing agent for yarn, surface coating for paper to enhance gloss and strength.
  • Adhesives & Industrial: Main raw material for wood glue, paper glue, packaging adhesives; biodegradable plastics (bioplastic).
  • Fuel & Chemicals: Fermentation for bioethanol production, citric acid, lysine.
